Based near Philadelphia, Charles V. Pollack, MD, has worked as a research and clinical trial consultant with multiple pharmaceutical companies since 2000. In addition to medically monitoring clinical trials, his responsibilities in this role involve regulatory compliance, trial site oversight, and protocol development. Since 2019, Charles V. Pollack, MD, has balanced his role as an independent research and clinical trial consultant with his work as a clinician-scientist and adjunct faculty member with the University of Mississippi Medical Center’s and Department of Emergency Medicine. Charles Pollack, MD, graduated magna cum laude from Emory University as a Phi Beta Kappa honor society student with degrees in history and chemistry. He earned his medical degree from Tulane University as an Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society scholar. He then completed his medical training at the University of Mississippi and the United States Naval Hospital, which included time as the chief resident of emergency medicine. He is a member of several professional groups, including the American Academy of Emergency Physicians and the European Society of Cardiology.
